Jessica is a playwright and arts administrator currently based in Toronto. Jessica was the recipient of the 2012 RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwrights Award for her full-length play The Gods and Calvin Brewer. Her first full- length play My Purple Wig was short-listed for the RBC Tarragon Under Thirty Award, the Herman Voaden Award and won the Special Merit Award in TheatreBC's National Playwriting Contest. My Purple Wig  premiered Off- Broadway at the Lion Theatre in November of 2013.  Her most recent play, A Different Kind of Job, premiered as part of Theatre Aquarius' TA2 Studio Series in  December 2015.  A Different Kind of Job was remounted by Bad Timing Productions in October of 2018.  Her short plays have been produced at the Extremely Short Play festival in Ottawa, the InspiraTO festival in Toronto, the Just Acts Play Festival in Calgary, the HamilTEN festival in Hamilton and the Short and Sweet Festival in Sydney, Australia. She was a participant in the 2014 Stratford Playwright's Retreat, an inaugural member of the 1000 Islands playwrights’ unit and was a member of the Theatre Aquarius Playwright’s Unit from 2014-2018. She is currently at work on her next two plays: A Junkyard Tale and Lobby.

Jessica was the OAC playwright-in-residence for Tottering Biped Theatre for 2016/17. This position was made possible due to the funding support from the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario.
